This waterfall was discovered in 2002 by the german researcher Stefan Zimendorf, when investigating some caves that were in the Amazon, considered the north door to the Amazon. After 4 years, the investigation began with local guides to measure its height and also finding a total of 22 additional waterfalls throughout the place.
