5 SUGGESTIONS TO SAY GOODBYE TO THE CHILDREN’S SUMMER VACATION!

23 February 2023

… as we usually say in our blogs, trips with our children usually have a positive impact on their social development, learning, and family relationships.

We are a few days away from the start of school and our children have been enjoying their vacations as much as they could, some went to the beach, others were in summer classes learning a sport, dancing or a new skill, or maybe , they had to recover some difficult courses but surely during these months they could improve, but how do we make these last days great and fun as a family, to create happy memories in them and we can live more together and enjoy each other’s company before going back to school with a lot of desire to continue learning? Here are some suggestions that could help you end the holidays with a flourish:

1. STAY IN A HOTEL WITHIN THE CITY FOR A WEEKEND
This option is very good if you have little time for your work, but you want to create the feeling of travel, there is a great variety of hotels in Lima that goes from $60 + taxes per night for the whole family, plus a supplement for breakfast for Children, you can enjoy the pool, the hotel breakfast, try the hotel’s lunches or dinners or find a nearby restaurant that we want to try. With one night we would have a unique experience and it will make us feel like we are on our last trip of the summer.

2. WEEKEND IN PARACAS
This option is very good in case you can take a few days away from work, likewise a higher budget is needed than in the previous point, you can choose between very good hotels where you will enjoy the hotel pool and local food, plus you You can take tours such as the Ballestas Islands from the Paracas pier, buggies and sandboarding from the Pozo Santo desert, an adrenaline and enjoyment trip will make our children burn their last energy and return relaxed and eager to learn at school. You can get to Paracas by private car, tourist mobility or commercial bus.

3. RELAXATION AT THE HOTEL EL PUEBLO
Approximately 40 minutes from the center of Lima, it is located in Ate, this family hotel with the all-inclusive modality, belongs to the Decameron hotel chain, it is a great option since it is easy to get to, it has 2 main heated pools, one Plaza de Armas, cafeteria, ice cream parlor and its famous bar “La Cava” with a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. We will also find 4 restaurants, 2 bars located in the pools and many fun activities for the whole family, such as dance classes, aerobics, ping pong, bowling, games for the little ones and much more, we recommend staying at least 3 days/ 2 nights to enjoy the hotel. An all-inclusive very close to your home, you can get there by private car, tourist mobility or taxi.

4. ADVENTURE IN LUNAHUANÁ
This destination is approximately 3 hours from Lima and here we can do 2 things, take a full day leaving from a meeting point in Lima and return to it or we can stay for 3 days staying in a good hotel, in the case of a full day , you would leave the chosen day very early in the morning (approx. 5am) and we would be arriving at approx. 8am to start our tour of lunahuana, we recommend starting with adventure activities such as canoeing, quad biking or ziplining, so that after eliminating stress, let’s go try the local food, and with our appetite satisfied we can go to visit the wineries of the area where they prepare different types of wines and piscos of very good quality, they will know the famous haunted house, the guide will tell them the story. At the end they will return to Lima, they will be ready to go back to school. This option can be done in shared and private service.

In the case you wish to spend the night in Lunahuaná, you will find very good accommodation options, you will be able to leave on a Friday and return on Sunday, you will be able to carry out the activities in a more relaxed way and without rushing with time, in addition to enjoying the facilities of the hotel that you have chosen, and you will have more time to try different local dishes. You can arrive by private car or tourist mobility depending on your preferences and budget.

5. FULL DAY TO CARAL
Caral, located approximately 3 hours and a half from Lima, ideal for the adventurers of the house who are passionate about history, culture and fun. You can arrive by tourist transport accompanied by a great guide who will tell us the story, depending on how many people there are, you can quote the most convenient type of transport for you. We recommend having a refreshing breakfast in Huacho, and then continuing our tour to the Citadel of Caral, where you will learn about the history of the oldest civilization in America, you will go through Vegeta to see a museum that will complement what you learned in Caral and where you can do A tour in ATVs to reach a viewpoint and take some excellent photos, then we will go through Huaura where Don José de San Martin proclaimed the first cry for freedom in Peru on November 27, 1820. And before returning you will go through Huaral to enjoy the typical dishes of the area.

These are some of the suggestions so that you and your families can enjoy the last days of family vacations, as we usually say in our blogs, trips with our children usually have a positive impact on their social development, learning, and family relationships.
