Machu Picchu was declared a Peruvian Historical Sanctuary in 1981 and has been on the Unesco World Heritage List since 1983, as part of a whole cultural and ecological complex known under the name Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. On July 7, 2007 Machu Picchu was declared one of the new seven wonders of the modern world.
Itinerary:
04:30 AM: Pick up from the hotel and transfer to the train station.
06:40 AM: Departure by Expedition tourist train or Inca Rail Voyager. Arrival in Machu Picchu Town and bus ride up to the Machu Picchu Citadel. We will enter the Sanctuary and tour one of the three circuits designated by the Ministry of Culture (contact us to confirm the available circuit), which will be reserved according to availability.
01:30 PM: Bus down to the town.
02:00 PM: Buffet lunch at Toto´s House Restaurante.
04:10 PM: Presentation at the Machu Picchu train station.
04:43 PM: Return by Expedition tourist train or Inca Rail Voyager.
Arrival at the train station and transfer to the hotel.
09:30 PM: Arrival at the hotel in Cusco.
