Waqrapukara is an archaeological site built by the Qanchis to later be conquered by the Incas; It is located at 4300 meters above sea level in the district of Acos, province of Acomayo, department of Cusco. Around 5:00 AM Pick up from the hotel and departure to Acomayo, during this journey we will appreciate beautiful landscapes and lagoons such as the Pomacanchi Lagoon, where we will make a brief stop. To then continue with the tour, arriving in Sangarara to have our delicious breakfast. Then we go to the beginning of the Waqrapukara walk, on this walk we will observe diverse local flora and fauna in the area until we reach our destination Waqrapukara, where we will have a guided tour visiting the following places: Intipunku (“Puerta del Sol”), main plaza, towers, terraces, Wiracocha enclosure and cave paintings depicting llamas. After the visit to Waqrapukara we will begin with the return, typical lunch. Return to Cusco. Overnight in Cusco.
